As a child that means I’ve misbehaved and being punished. However, in the latter part of my growing up years, “You’re grounded” takes on a different perspective. It means I’m “authentic, calm, confident and down to earth “. Well! The truth of the matter is that our parents know the secret and they were passing it on to us. Each time they say “You’re grounded”, the universal message is “Go and reflect what you have done, center yourself and seek life balance”. That’s the Universe cue!
“Grounding and rooting” has association with “trees”. Now, that’s an entire mystery in itself and one could write volumes about it. Trees reach back to the beginning of time. It’s ageless, withstood time. Its roots reach deep into the Earth to draw upon its energy, their leaves reach ever upwards drawing upon the energy from above. It evolved itself to the highest consciousness, rooted in wisdom, gave generously of peace, calm, serenity and love. It keeps this earth in balance by giving out oxygen, food and provides homes to living creatures and in so doing, carved a niche for itself in this eco-system. Hey! the trees also know the secret.
